Pajama Day at BHP

Today is dress up for Halloween at BHP and my department is all in our pajamas. This is wonderful. We have 100% participation in our department and we are having a ball. The neighboring childcare walked the children through to trick or treat. They were so cute. I love little ones and the silly bands were a big hit !! Thank you Denny for the great idea. Tonight I am going to Lindsay's to watch Eclipse but I will probably fall asleep in her sleep number bed!! :)

A Night on Broadway I just Wish I Was Not so Tired.

Tonight Marilyn and I are going to see A Chorus Line at the Sovereign Performing Arts Center. I am excited. This is not the first time I have seen A Chorus Line and it is one of my favorites.

I am so tired because I didn’t go to sleep until around one in the morning. It is hard getting home from work and going right to bed and for some reason I just couldn’t calm down last night. Dennis was right out, snoring away and I was wide awake in the middle of a book. I am ok today at work but I do feel a bit unable to concentrate and scattered. I know that adjusting to working two jobs is going to take a few weeks but I really just want a nap right now.

Tonight is Rocky Horror on Glee and I am so upset that I have to miss it and catch it online tomorrow. We didn’t have a choice on the date of the show so there really isn’t anything I can do about it but still.

Oh Well I cant be everywhere at once.

Tired and Cranky

Ok I am tired and cranky but here is my recommendation for readers today. There is a website called goodreads.com and on the site you can review books, keep tabs of the books you have read and want to read and see what your friends are reading. I can absolutely say that I love this website. There are many times that I buy a book only to realize that I already read it but now I can look the books up before I go to the store. Well the ones that I remember anyway. I already have over 200 on my list and that is only off my packing slips from Better World Books. There are many more that I haven't even put on yet. So there you have it. have a wonderful.

So Busy

Well I am so busy with working the two jobs so I am sorry that I have not had time to update. Well with working at a book store I am reading more. I did go to the bowling alleys with Dennis, Al, Mikey and of course the rest of the men that are there. It was nice to spend time with the guys. Crazy as it seems I think that working at the book store is the so great. Where else can I get paid to talk to people about what I love and have people actually listen to me? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA  OK so break time is over so back to work it is.

October- Where did the year go?

I can’t believe that it is October and I can’t believe all the changes that I have been through in ten months. Dennis has a new job, Denielle is going to be a mom, DJ turned 16, and I am starting a new part time position on top of my full time position. I am a little excited and I am a lot nervous about all of the above. I took a trip to Forks, LaPush and Seattle, celebrated 20 years of marriage, turned 40 and decided that becoming a grandmother is something to be happy about. So it is October. I wonder what the next 3 months will hold for me in this exciting year. I guess I shall see.

Consistently Crazy

Did you ever think that the crazy would go away? Well, you are wrong. In my life the craziness is actually the norm and I have come to welcome and expect it. Craziness always seems to happen when I least expect it but seeing as I have an open door policy (if the door is opened come on in) I guess it is my fault. I love seeing my nieces and nephews running in and out of my house and I am so happy that my kids are so close to their family. I am grateful that our family has a closeness that many extended families do not.


I am very careful though and the few friends that are not my family are wonderful and loved as if they are my family. I don’t let many people get close and I guess that is because I have been hurt and disappointed by people who only call when they need or want something but as soon as I needed help they would disappear into the woodwork. Anyway enough of this morose subject…. Lets just say I am so happy that I have family who I love very dearly.

Enough

Do you ever feel like you just can’t do enough? Well that is how I feel today. No matter what I do it never feels like I have enough time or energy to get everything done. What I really want to a week in a cabin in the mountains by a lake where I can just sit by the lake and walk in the forests and recharge. I want to relax with books and pen and paper though I do find that I would rather write on a computer instead of writing on paper and then transcribing it to the computer. I absolutely love the feeling of a good pen caressing a paper with the words that flow out of my imagination. I haven’t been writing enough and I really should start again.




I am still writing fan fiction but I have also started my own original story but it has been sitting waiting for me to pick it up and I just don’t feel like it. I am reading like a fiend though and maybe that is because that is my escape from the real world and real problems or maybe because I just love reading. I did try to reset my brain this past weekend with a long walk by myself in the basin but nothing seems to work. Well thankfully tomorrow is Friday……





Glee Duets

OK so I was not really happy with yesterdays show. My favorite songs were Sing and Happy Days are Here Again. All in all I enjoy all the Glee Episodes but I am really excited for The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Home Sick

How is it when you are home sick you still have so much to do? I was up all night and yet I still am doing laundry and cleaning. It just seems that my work is never done. At least my headache is finally going away now maybe I can relax for a little.

Balancing on High Heels

Rendahl has taken serious situations; divorce, infidelity, crime, and self-worth, and put a bittersweet twist on them. The situations are sad and has you shaking your head and saying, "been there, done that." Alissa seems like she could be your sister, or your friend. The could be you feeling of the story brings it close to home, and close to your heart. After Rendahl's last book I couldn't wait for this one. What worked for me was that the author wrote great characters I could relate to, and it was hard for me to put down. Also, the author had me rooting for the Butterfly Brigade. It was a great read and I liked how each chapter starts with a page from the Anger Management workbook.

Nice Saturday

Well today was so nice. I spent time at my aunts and I went for a nice long walk. I learned some history and came home  to a semi clean kitchen. Well what I mean is DJ's workbench is out of the kitchen. YEAH. For relaxing I edited a short erotica novel featuring a dom/sub relationship for a friend which I will not review here for obvious reasons. I would love to pick out a movie and watch it but that never seems to work as I always seem to pick up a book and ignore the movie. I am hoping tomorrow will be just as nice.

TGIF

So today is Friday and I have a full day planned. I am working until 4:30 and then at 6 I am visiting with Jax and Samara. I am planning to take Samara's pictures probably at the museum but I havent really decided yet. I do have several poses in mind for Jax and Samara but we all know how cooperative babies can be so wish me luck.
My job interview went well and I think that I have a good chance of getting the job. I love books so being surrounded by them and helping people find something they enjoy and are passionate about is one of my dream jobs. I would love to own a little book store but there is absolutely no money in it. Heck most small book stores that I have encountered have closed down. So anyway TGIF...... More Later !!

From Dead to Worse

I read this book in last night in the bathtub. It probably took two hours and I sat there until I was done.

Anyway, the things and rules of the Sookieverse get bigger and bigger. Starting to wonder what's not real in her world. Loved the elements on Eric's history, loved Sookie's being more independent, even from Jason.

I love Eric and his character and this book had Eric back to the same Eric that I love. I was sad to see the demise of Sookie and Quinn’s relationship but Sookie made the right decision. I also loved the demise of Jason and Crystal’s marriage and Sookie’s responsibility to Hot Shot.

All in all a good book….. Leaving me still loving vampires and wanting more from Charlain Harris.

Still I haven't started the next book, but had to take a break from reading Fan Fiction. This is typical, as I tend to delay reading things I really want to read, because once you read it, it's over and there's nothing to look forward to anymore hence how I have to read Twilight once a month.

Good Thoughts

Keep me in your thoughts for tomorrow. I have a job interview for a part time job at a place that I know I will love. I am actually really excited. So keep your finger crossed and I thank you for it !!

Uh .. What GREAT Weather !!

OK so I know that it is Autumn but come on. On Saturday I was at the beach and sunburn, which by the way I think will become an annual October event, and today it is rainy and cold. I hate the cold so much. Some people dream of a white Christmas, I dream of a Christmas Palm Tree with the sun shining in seventy degree weather. Uh .... Time to hibernate!!

A Day at Seaside

What a way to Celebrate the start of Autumn. The kids and I spent the whole day at the beach. Mike, Zac and Denny are burnt to a crisp. DJ is two or three shades darker and I am basically the same due to my heave sunscreen. The kids and I had a ball. We saw surfers and dophins and the water was a perfect 72 degrees. DJ and Zac were out in the waves and of course no matter how old the kids get they have to dig a huge hole in the sand. All in all we had a great day. Oh and DJ and Zac went to a White Castle. They were so excited to was so funny. By the way I tried to read BUT the kids were having so much fun I just kept watching them.

Decisions Decisions Decisions

My hubby is gone for the weekend (deep sea fishing) and I have a big decision to make for tomorrow. My kids and two nephews and I are heading to Seaside Heights for the day and I have to decide which books to take for the drive and the beach. I figure one book down, one book for the beach and one book back. I have plenty of books and I can't finish my banned books until my order from Better World Books is delivered. So I am going to go through my bag of books and pick out three delightful novels to peruse tomorrow while the kiddies frolic in the water. Oh Yeah we are also heading  to the Jersey Shore House to take a few pics. Wow... Busy but hopefully relaxing day.
