My trip to Forks was so very awakening. First Beach was an embodiement of mind, body, spirit, and nature. As I stood on La Push looking out at the waves crashing into the sacred island of the Quilete's I felt like the wind and waves were weaving a conversation for my ears only. Rialto Beach was also very beautiful with formations sprouting up creating a dreamlike atmosphere. When hiking to Second Beach the landscape was so lush and green . The hike was so steep that when I was done I felt such a sense of accomplishment. I know the trip was Twilight related but given my degrees and schooling and degrees being on the reservation was one of the moments of my life I will never forget. There are no thought bubbles for today because the trip has opened up my mind to rid myself of the thoughts of possessions, money and nonsense and replaced them with nature, a strong sense of self and achievement.

Seastar restaurant was excellent!! I give the service a 5 out of 5! Lindsey also gives the service a top notch! Both of our meals were again HUGE.... Dennis would even be full at these restaurants!! Today we are on our way to Forks!! We just crossed the Puget Sound on the ferry and it was cold but beautiful !!

Molly Moons Ice Cream!! The ice cream is all organic and with flavors like honey lavendar with bee pollen sprinkles I was a little scared. Lindsey had a scoop of Theo's chocolate and strawberry balsamic. She said She loved it!! She did test the honey lavendar and she said that is her new favorite flavor! I was a purist and went for vanilla bean with vanilla bean caramel sauce. I found the caramel a little to salty for my taste but the ice cream was excellent as well as the homemade fresh whipped cream. All in all a gret dessert.

Since my phone was not working right yesterday I will give you a run down of Volterra from Friday night today. Both our meals were excellent. Lindsey had the homemade dungeoness crab ravioli's and I had the herb raosted chicken. Both meals were excellent. The portions were HUGE. I had a basil tangerine martini and Lindsey had a grappa martini. My martini was excellent Lindsey's not so much. All out of all Lindsey gave the service 4 out of 5 stars and the food 4 1-2 stars. I gave the service 3/5 and the food 5/5.

As we get closer and closer to Seattle our excitement is building. We have seen beautiful mountain ranges out of the plane window. They rise majestically above the clouds and there snow white tops blend at times. I love the scenery and I have already had my camera out. I am so looking forward to many of our stops which will allow me to take in the grandeur and beauty of nature. Nature that is unspoiled by human hands.....

Waiting is Over

OK the waiting is over and I ma currently waiting in the airport to board the plane. I am so excited for this trip. I am still sick and not feeling well but I refuse to let it get me down. I am sitting her at gate B-2 in the BWI airport trying to decide if I should buy airline insurance. Hey you never know.... Lindsey is off searching for a Starbucks and I am trying to keep busy. I really do not want to fall asleep. My thought bubble for today "Reach for the stars and you can catch them".

Well the time has come!! I am done with work for 4 days and I am getting really anxious. Dennis says I am a sped I should really just enjoy myself.... My thought bubble for today "life is short so have fun".

Almost There

By this time Friday morning I will be on the plane heading for Seattle. I really am so excited but with having a cold I am worried about not getting better in time to really enjoy myself. I am packed and I bought a new skirt and top to go. Lindsey is in charge of the charging of one of the cameras batteries and I am in charge if charging the others. Oh that is funny. I am in charge of charging. So my batteries are charged and I am ready to go. The days are dragging but by this time next week we will be on our way home. I cant believe the trip is finally upon us. It seems like yesterday that we were buying the airline tickets. When we get back we will have to but tickets for Eclipse and prepare for the beach. Wow I am going to have a busy summer with all this going on and having season passes to Great Adventure. Thought Bubble for today "On Friday Washington...Next Year France".

Change of Plans/Movies

Ok so there was a change of plans last night and instead of "Stick It" I watched "Cake Eaters" with Kristen Stewart. The movie was really good and I enjoyed it. I have only three days until I leave for the trip and I am anxious and excited at the same time. I am finally done deciding what to take with but with the weather for Seattle changing daily it was hard. I finally decided on two pair of jeans, a pair of capris, a pair of shorts and assorted shirts. Oh Yes I also packed a dress because we are going to Volterra which is one of Rachel Rays favorite restaurants and named after a place in the Twilight books. All I have to do is pack my electronics. I can't believe how reliant I am or maybe addicted is the right word to my laptop, cameras and especially my phone. For my phone alone I am taking a car charger, wall charger and sync cord. You would think I could go for 5 or 6 days without all the appliances but just thinking about leaving my laptop and phone home sends me into a maelstrom of emotions. It is just easier to take the stuff with me and try to not use it (not likely). Thought Bubble for Today "Now that I am turning 40 I think about being a teenager without a cellphone or laptop and I wonder how I have survived."

Movie Report

OK so yesterday I watched "Little Ashes" as my second movie and I have to say it was an OK movie. DJ didn't like it but that was because he doesnt even know who Salvadore Dali is. Tonight is "Stick It" with Kellan Lutz and if I have time Thirteen with Nikki Reed. Tomorrow is Dread with Jackson Rathbone and I can't decide if I want to watch "Hurt" starring Jackson Rathbone or the Criminal Minds episode he was in. It is funny because even though RPatz is the big star of Twilight / New Moon Jackson Rathbone, Nikki Reed, Kristen Stewart, well lets just say everyone else in the cast have impressive movies out. OOOOHHHH wait... Not Taylor Lautner.... The only other movie he has been in is Shark Boy and Lava Girl which even though I own it I have to say it sucks... There are 4 days left until I leave for Seattle and Forks and I am starting to get so excited!! Thought bubble for today- "A great movie/screenplay for an actor does not mean that all their movies are great!"

100 Monkeys

I have just a few things to say about the 100 Monkeys concert.... Number one: they were amazing.... Number two: J is HOTT... and Number three: I was so excited and I was even more excited after we left....

Preparation

I am sitting at home on this fine Sunday afternoon preparing for my trip. When I say preparing for my trip I mean mentally. I have decided to watch movies all week that have the cast of Twilight in them in some way shape or form. I have to say that starting with "How to Be" is a definite mistake. Besides being incredibly boring I have noticed several things. First of all everything in the movie sets seems to be white in white. I have never seen such a lack of color and decoration. (Chip can you tell me if this is standard English decoration?). Now on to R Patz's wardrobe. In this scene he has on orange chucks, gray pants which are too short and a brown plaid coat. Now there is a grown man crying because he fell on a skateboard. I am trying to seriously pay attention but this is really really hard.

I have finally seen a scene with color. YEAH!!!!!

Release

Muscles tight and hot,

Warmth gathering in my stomach,

Have you ever had one of those days where you wish you had just stayed in bed? Well today is one of those days.  I am trying to concentrate and be happy about my upcoming vacation and of course the Hundred Monkeys concert on the 14th but nothing seems to be working. I will be 40 this year and I seem to be more and more depressed as the time gets closer. I think about all the things I want to do and all the things I have not done. I am working on my bucket list and I have been able to cross a few things of off but I think that if I died tomorrow what would people remember about me and would they even think about me at all. This train has been running through my mind full speed for the last week or so.  Well I will think some more about this.... Thought Bubble for today "live each day as if it were your last and try not to dwell on decisions you have already made".
